I love teaching the flute. My teaching style is positive, supportive, and enthusiastic, and I individualize lessons based on the needs of each student. I teach in a fairly structured manner, using patience and humor to create a relaxed environment.

I expect children and teen students to practice regularly. Adult students may choose their own level of commitment to practice.

I offer optional recitals, masterclasses, workshops, and other related activities. My students have had fun doing everything from playing flutes in an ice cream parlor to travelling with me on a flute trip to London, England!

While I strive to guide and nurture the highest quality of musicianship each student has the potential to produce, the emphasis in my studio is on the joy of making music.
